About the Role
- Mtoag Technology is building next-generation AI-native telecom platforms powered by custom, domain-tuned Large Language Models (LLMs).
- We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer – Generative AI who will design, train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy telecom-optimised LLMs and help shape the future of connected intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Design and implement LLM training & adaptation pipelines, including:
- Continued Pre-Training (CPT) on telecom domain datasets
- Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) & Instruction Tuning
- Prepare and curate large-scale telecom datasets (technical docs, logs, tickets, SOPs, specifications).
- Develop domain-specialised AI models for:
- Technical documentation generation
- Incident summaries & root-cause analysis narratives
- Network insights & operational intelligence
- Evaluate and benchmark LLMs for:
- Domain accuracy & reasoning capability
- Factuality & hallucination reduction
- Optimise training & inference for cost, latency, and scalability.
- Deploy fine-tuned models as secure, scalable production services.
- Integrate models with RAG architectures and tool-augmented workflows.
- Contribute to AI governance, evaluation frameworks, and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of AI/ML engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience in LLM fine-tuning or adaptation.
- Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch preferred).
- Experience with transformer-based models.
- Practical exposure to SFT, Instruction Tuning, and CPT workflows.
- Understanding of distributed training and GPU workloads.
- Experience deploying ML models in production environments.
- Strong foundation in data modelling, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience integrating analytics systems for actionable business insights.
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep understanding of LLM training dynamics & token behaviour.
- Expertise in data preprocessing, tokenisation & curriculum learning.
- Familiarity with evaluation metrics: BLEU, ROUGE, Perplexity & human-in-the-loop evaluation.
- Experience with parameter-efficient fine-tuning methods (LoRA, Adapters, QLoRA).
- Understanding of model safety, bias mitigation & domain alignment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate across research, engineering & product teams.
- Capable of translating AI outcomes into measurable business impact.
